Kafoozalum have been around for a while.

The lineup has been focussed around Double Bass, Harp, Cello Violin and Flute.

Our latest reincarnation is:

Felicity Pitcher - Cor Anglais & Oboe
Iris Matzner - Violin
Jacinda Barnard - Celtic Harp
Elizabeth Creese - Bassoon

The first gigs for the group were at the Turramurra Folk Festival in 1991.

Our Harpist in those days was the fine musician Angela Hardman.

We have played hundreds of performances since then always with a variety of line-ups.

There have been many fine musicians who have played with the band over the years.

The group has performed at Jazz festivals, Folk Festivals, Library Concerts, Private Functions and also with various Small Orchestras in Melbourne. 

The group has performed Traditional Folk Music, Modern Compositions by respected composers as well as pieces written by members of the group.

Diversity Plus - History of the group
Diversity Plus was first and foremost a Jazz group and played at Jazz Festivals from the start.

In 1993 Peter S (Bass), Bob M (Trombone) played with some sit-in players for  the first version of the group at the Merimbula Jazz Festival.

This was followed by more performances in the following year with added members: George Stolfo  (Guitar) Mick Martin (Drums)  and Sandy Joseph on Vocals.

The group played at the Merimbula Jazz Festival, the Monbulk Jazz/Blues Festival,  the Inverloch Jazz Festival, the Grampians Jazz Festival and numerous other gigs and Festival for over 10 years.

They released their first CD in 2000 Take a Snapshot Now! see CD releases.

Synthetic Dream
This group formed in 1980 and played mainly at the Clifton Hill Community Music Centre and later at the Linden Art Gallery.

The first single Work - Fee Fy was a Rich Man was released on the Innocent label in 1981.

The lead singer of Work Quincy McLean went on to bigger bands in the late 1980s like Scrap Museum and Blue Ruin.

There have also been occasional releases of the groups music on compilation albums from the time.
